Float-In Window Generator User Manual

This manual will explain every feature of the Float-In Window Generator. All attributes of this software are listed in the order that they appear on the software Interface.

Before You Begin ...

 

Removing Text From The Content Area -

The first time you start the generator and, any time you exit and restart the program. The generator field titled "Enter Float-In Content" will be pre-populated with an example html code.

To remove this code entirely or any other code that you put here simply click anywhere inside the content area and highlight the text in this area by holding down the left click button on your mouse while scrolling the mouse up or down. After the desired text is highlighted just press the delete button on your keyboard to remove the text.

 

Adding Content To The Content Area-

You may right click inside the content area to paste any HTML copied from another source

 

IMPORTANT – You Must Upload The Close.gif And Minmize.gif Files-

When uploading HTML file(s) after the generator inserts your Float-In Window codes. Remember you must also upload the close.gif and minimize.gif files from the (Float In Generator Folder) into THE SAME directory of your website or the title bar of your float in window will not display as it should.

 

IMPORTANT – Removing Unwanted Float-Ins

Also remember you may use unlimited float-ins on the same page. You will have to remove any unwanted "float In" codes from your HTML code in a raw html editor or wyswyg (what you see is what you get) html editor BEFORE you insert your new Float- In code.

The Float In script will always be inserted at the bottom of your html code with the last float in you inserted being just above your </html> tag.

File Menu

  • Open - Opens Saved Projects (.fwg fields)

Enter Title –

Type your title here.

 

Enter Title Font –

Select your desired font from the drop down menu.

 

Enter Title Font Size

Type your desired font size here. Or select your desired font size from the drop down menu.

 

Enter Float-In Window width in pixels

This field determines the width of your float in window in pixels.

 

Enter Float-in Window height in pixels

This field determines the height of your Float-In in pixels.

 

Enter Float-In Window final pos X

This feature determines (in pixels horizontally) where your float in will come to a stop at. If you enter 150 in this field your float in window will always stop at the 150th pixel on the screen counting 150 pixels starting from the left side of the page no matter what direction (left or right) it enters from.

 

Enter Float-in Window final pos Y

This feature determines (in pixels vertically) where your float in will come to a stop at. If you enter 150 in this field your float in window will always stop at the 150th pixel on the screen counting 150 pixels starting from the top of the page no matter what direction (up or down it enters from.

 

Enter Float-in Direction

This feature allows you to choose the direction your Float-In will enter the screen from.

  • Upward - Float-In will enter from the bottom of the page moving upward.
  • Downward - Float-In will enter from the top of the page moving downward.
  • Left- Float-In will enter from the left side of the page moving to the right.
  • Right - Float -In will enter from the right side of the page moving to the left.

 

Enter Floating Speed (pixels/sec) –

This feature determines how fast the Float-In will move from its entry point to its stopping point. A higher number will cause the Float-In to move at a faster rate and entering a lower number will cause the float in to move at a slower rate.

 

Enter time period after which the window will enter the screen (seconds) –

This feature allows you to delay the entry of the float in window by seconds. To make the Float-In the moment a visitor lands on your page simply enter a 0 (zero).

 

How Often Should This Float-In Appear –

This time out feature will allow you to determine how much time will pass before the specified Float-In Window will be displayed to the same user. Simply click the check box to engage or disengage this feature.

If you only want your float in to be seen once every day by the same visitor then enter 1 in the field that says "days" and enter 0 in the "hours" and a 0 (zero) in the "minutes" fields. Then the visitor will not see your Float-in Window again until the next day.

The days, minutes, and hours fields can be used independently or in any combination and any amount of three digit days, two digit hours, and or two digit minutes.

 

Enter Title Back-Color –

This will determine the background color of the title bar that will be place behind the title text. You may manually enter any HTML color code or you may create your on custom colors on the fly by clicking on the "Palette Button".

 

Enter Title Fore (Text) Color –

This will determine the color of the title text. You may manually enter any HTML color code or you may create your on custom colors on the fly by clicking on the "Palette Button".

 

Enter Frame Color –

This will determine the color of the frame for the entire Float-In Window. You may manually enter any HTML color code or you may create your on custom colors on the fly by clicking on the "Palette Button".

 

Enter Content Background Color -

This will determine the color of the background inside the frame of the Float-In Window. You may manually enter any HTML color code or you may create your on custom colors on the fly by clicking on the "Palette Button".

 

Enter Float-In Content-

In this area you can insert plain text or HTML. When using HTML be sure that you all your HTML tags are closed properly and that code is written just as it would be if you were making a normal webpage to be uploaded to your website.

 

Select the HTML file to insert the Float-In Window to-

Type in the location of the file on your computer that you want the generator to insert the Float-In Window into.

 

Browse (Button)

Click this button if you want to search your computer to look for an HTML file to insert your Float-In Window code into.

 

Test Float-In in a Browser Window (Button)

This feature allows you to preview your Float-In Window in a test browser before inserting the code into your HTML. You can preview as many times as you need to before you finally insert the Float-In code into an HTML document.

 

Insert Float-In into HTML Document (Button)

Click this button when you have chosen the location of the file that you want to insert the "Float-In Window code into and it will automatically insert the code for you.
