Welcome.... to the Award-Me! Desktop Software help file. Here you will find
the answers to most questions you will have about using the software. If you don't find

Using the Software for the First Time...
In order to keep Award-Me! Free, we
ask that you tell 3 friends about us. The first time you open the software you will
be asked to fill out a short form with 3 friends and their email addresses.
Your friends' info will never be sold to any third parties, and we will not send
them spam. They will be sent one short email telling them about Award-Me! and that's
all.
This screen should stop appearing after you tell 3 friends about us. If the
screen appears after you have told 3 friends about us, email award-me@award-me.com
and we will tell you how to get rid of that screen.
Using The Software...
Award-Me! is very simple to use. When the software starts, you will be
shown a screen asking for information about your web site. You will be asked
for your: Web site URL, Web site Title, Your First Name, Your Email Address, and a short
description of your site.
You must fill out all this info. This info will be sent to all 300 of the award
givers that participate in Award-Me. They will take this info and either decide
to review your site for your award, or ignore your entry completely.
You Must be sure to enter your email address. If you don't the reviewers
will not be able to contact you to tell you if you have won their award.
Once you enter your site information, click the Submit button. Award-Me!
will take over from here. Your information will then be automatically sent to all 300+ award givers instantly. It typically takes less than 1-2 minutes to submit to the
full list of award givers.
How Do I Know My Submission Was Successful?
When you submit your site, you will see a status bar at the bottom of the Award-Me!
screen. Once the status bar is full, you will receive a message at the bottom of the
Award-Me! screen. The Message will read:
Done! Successfully Submitted Your Site To x of 300 Awards.
(where x is the number of successful submissions. If x is 300, you know that your
submission was successfully sent to all 300 award givers.)
Is that it?
That's It! That's all there is to it. The whole process shouldn't take you
more than 5 minutes.
How long does it take to win the awards?
Some awards you may win right away...others may take between 4-6 weeks.
The more people that use Award-Me! the more award submissions the award givers have
to review.
Remember, these people actually go to your site to review it, and that takes a lot
of time. There are sometimes waiting lists, so be prepared to wait.
What about upgrades?
Award-Me! updates its award lists each time you use it. There is no need
to download upgrades.
How often should I use Award-Me!?
We recommend using Award-Me! no more than once per month per site. If you use
it more than that, you may tick off the award givers.
Will each Award Giver Contact me?
No, each award giver will not contact you. If you don't win, most award givers
won't bother to tell you. As I said earlier, they are very busy and most won't
take the time to tell you that you have not won their award.
If you win their award, the award giver will contact you via the email address
you specified when using Award-Me!
